Episode 104: Christianity and Human Design with Christa Keyes

We’re switching gears and diving into using our sense of spirituality within our religious practices. And who better to have that conversation with than Christa Keyes – a Human Design reader who specializes in understanding the design God gave us.

I wanted to bring Christa on the show to help ground any listeners who may be struggling between the different kinds of spirituality within them – the spirit of God and the spirit within themselves.

Tune in to learn a new perspective on Human Design (as well as any other spiritual practice), and how we can use it as a tool to draw us closer to God – to learn how He made us and the purpose we hold in our lives.

CHRISTA KEYES

My belief is that you’re always in purpose. It may be in a season of refinement, but that’s a part of your purpose. It’s something that you need to continue to your next level or iteration of your purpose. And so I think recognizing what your gifts are – what are you naturally drawn to and what’s the energy that you naturally show up in? And when you can see those things, those tools can be used in a variety of different ways – whether that’s on the job or not.

I also talk about…

  • Using Human Design as a tool in a way that aligns with us.
  • Drawing yourself closer to God.
  • Honoring our design.
  • How to live with your purpose.

Highlights

USING HUMAN DESIGN AS A TOOL IN A WAY THAT ALIGNS WITH US

Human Design is a detailed map that outlines your energetic relationship with the world and your unique make up. It uses astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, and Vedic philosophy to find your specific design. Now, yes, it sounds full of the woo, but truly it’s a simple tool that tells you how you function and what practices will best serve you. And you get out of it what you will. Christa uses Human Design to explore the way God designed you and define the purpose he gave you. I also know of practitioners who use Human Design only to learn their client’s energy type so they can support them accordingly. The ways you can use Human Design are endless, and that’s dependent on your needs.

Point being, regardless if it is Human Design or another tool, they are meant to be used to connect with the Divine. If God is your Divine, why limit yourself on your connection to him? Play around and see what fits – see what serves you and your relationship with Him best.

DRAWING YOURSELF CLOSER TO GOD

Christa so beautifully shared with us her journey in exploring her relationship with God and what she did to draw herself closer to Him. The biggest theme was in having your own sense of discernment. Our Pastors and Reverends are there to help us begin our understanding of the Bible, as well as serve as an Earthly guide in our connection to God. But that is just the beginning. Drawing yourself closer to God means diving inwards, studying the text, and finding the meaning that most aligns with you and the relationship that you have with Him. You can’t just follow someone else’s path. You need to find and pave yours.

HONORING YOUR DESIGN

As Human Design is a tool, you are able to use it as deeply and thoroughly as you wish. Your design map is not here to box you in, but rather help you step out of the shadows that hold you back from embracing the beauty that life offers you. So honoring your design – honoring the way He made you – will not only help you serve Him, but live the life you dream of. And if nothing else, simply use this map as a guide to a deeper understanding of who you are and how you were created.

HOW TO LIVE WITH YOUR PURPOSE

If there is only one thing to take away from this conversation with Christa, it would be that living in your purpose is living in the greatest sense of self – it’s living as the best, most fulfilled version of you. But just as we need to have discernment in our relationship to God, we must also hold discernment in our relationship with our purpose. For our purpose is not a singular, structured thing. Just as we live and breathe, so does our purpose. When we evolve, it evolves. So to live in one with your purpose, tune inwards to what you are most passionate about, to what most excites you, and do the work that lights you up the most.

Christa believes that no matter where we are in life or what we do, we are always in purpose – because **we are one **with our purpose. So there’s nothing we must do in order to live with our purpose. Instead, the focus would be better spent on how we can embrace and use our purpose to live our best life. The better you understand it, the better you will carry your purpose with all that you do. Human Design does not need to be the tool you use to get there, but it can be. Choose the tool that serves you most, and deepen your connection. The results you see will be returned 10 fold.
